This compound has various chemical and physical properties, some of them, applications and storage conditions of sodium silicate are discussed below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Materials resistance industries:<\/strong> In the production of resistance materials such as sulfate-resistant concrete, sodium silicate is used as an additive to prevent the harmful effects of sulfates.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paper production:<\/strong> Sodium silicate is used as an auxiliary material in paper production, which can prevent the reduction of water absorption by the cells of paper wood.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chemical and food industries:<\/strong> In the production of chemicals such as antiwear and anticorrosives, sodium silicate may be used as a base material.
