Description

Sodium phosphate is a chemical compound consisting of sodium ion (Na⁺) and phosphate ion (PO₄³⁻). This compound is widely used as a chemical and additive in various industries. of sodium phosphate for medicinal purposes to regulate calcium serum concentration, increase renal secretion of H + ion, expel parasites and toxic anthelmintic drugs, before or after treatment with some anthelmintic drugs, facilitate and Stool collection is used for parasite tests.

We will examine some of the uses of these two widely used chemicals below:

  1. In food use as a food additive for moisture retention.
  2. It is used as a detergent, in toothpastes and to remove water hardness.
  3. Purification of polymers: In the production of polymers, various impurities may be introduced into the final product. Sodium phosphate is used as a pollutant absorbent. By adding this compound to polymers, impurities are absorbed and purified from the product.
  4. Waste gases and gas processing: In the processing of waste gases and petrochemical gases such as methane and ethylene, sodium phosphate is used as a special gas absorber. This compound can help absorb certain gases and improve purification processes.
  5. Stability and prevention of impure accumulations in polymer processes: In the production and processing processes of polymers, sodium phosphate is used as a stable substance and to prevent the formation of deposits and impurity accumulations in final and mineral products.
  6. Composite polymers: In the production of composite polymers that may contain fillers, sodium phosphate is used as a substance to prevent impure accumulations in the product and to improve the homogeneous distribution of fillers.

The major consumer industries of this chemical include detergent manufacturing factories, water treatment industries, food industries, ceramic industries, mining industries, paper production industries, and petrochemical industries.

Maintenance:

  • Sodium phosphate should be stored in a dry and cool environment to avoid the effect of humidity and high temperature.
  • Contact with oxidizing agents or strong bases should be avoided to prevent undesirable degradation reactions.
  • Physical impact or cracks should be avoided during transportation to protect the quality of the material.
