Description

Sodium Triphosphate or Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP) is a chemical compound that is made by connecting a number of phosphate groups to a sodium atom. This compound is used as a chemical additive and sealer in various industries.

We will examine some of the uses of these two widely used chemicals below:

High temperature stability: Sodium tripolyphosphate is usually stable at high temperatures and can be preserved in cooking or processing processes.
Purification of polymers: In the production of polymers, various impurities may be introduced into the final product. Sodium triphosphate is used as a pollutant absorbent. By adding this compound to polymers, impurities are absorbed and purified from the product.
Sealing: One of the important properties of sodium tripolyphosphate is its Sealing ability. This feature increases the stability and improves the properties of various products such as hand washing products and dishes.
Stability in alkaline environment: sodium tripolyphosphate is used due to its stability in alkaline environments. This property makes it useful in detergents and cleaning products, especially in liquid products.
Composite polymers: In the production of composite polymers that may contain fillers, sodium triphosphate is used as a substance to prevent impure accumulations in the product and to improve the homogeneous distribution of fillers.

Sodium tripolyphosphate is used as a multipurpose additive in various industries such as detergent, food and pharmaceutical industries, and it takes advantage of its chemical properties to improve sealing, stability and product properties.

Maintenance:

Sodium tripolyphosphate should be stored in a cool, dry environment to avoid undesirable breakdown in humid environments.
It is necessary to keep it in a suitable and moisture-proof package.
It is recommended to avoid contact with oxidizing or alkaline substances to prevent unwanted reactions.
