Description

CMC or carboxymethyl cellulose is available in the market with grades E466 or E469. This substance is used in the production of ice creams, all kinds of desserts, gelatin, candies, etc. CMC adhesive or carboxymethyl cellulose is a natural polymer that is derived from cellulose and has unique chemical properties. This material is used as an additive in various industries. We will examine the industrial and food applications of this chemical below:

  1. Pharmaceutical industry: In the production of tablets and pharmaceutical products, CMC glue is used as an additive to distribute drugs uniformly.
  2. Paper and coating industries: In paper production, CMC glue is used as an anti-coating, waterproofing and additive material.

Maintenance:

  • CMC glue should be stored in a dry and cool environment to avoid the effect of humidity and high temperature.
  • Contact with oxidizing agents or chemical compounding agents should be avoided to prevent undesirable reactions.
  • Physical impact or cracks should be avoided during transportation to protect the quality of the material.
